California Born. Rooted in Italian Tradition.
For over 80 years our family has been in the business of producing and marketing fresh-packed California fruit and tomatoes. In 1939, second generation Italian immigrant Frank DiNapoli sold his first case of Blenheim apricots from his San Jose cannery he named Sun Garden Packing. The company would later expand to process peaches, fruit cocktail, Asparagus and of course tomatoes. Frank’s son Richard took the reins of the company in 1974 and his son Rob in 1991. While each generation has imparted their influence on the cannery and its output, each can of DiNapoli Tomatoes still yields a fruit that is deep red in color, soft and fragile in texture with a sweet, natural taste. DiNapoli brand tomatoes have earned the trust of chefs and pizza makers across America as a tomato similar to Italy’s legendary San Marzano—but grown and produced right here at home.
